Vital-FSM Petroleum Corporation (Vital Energy Inc.) is seeking a skilled and dependable Electrical Technician to support the maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The successful candidate will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure while maintaining compliance with company safety and operational standards.
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Technical or Vocational Certification in Electrical Technology, Electrotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical maintenance.
- Strong practical knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and hand/power tools.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults independently.
- Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work in Nauru, Micronesia.
Responsibilities:
- Electrical Maintenance and Repair
- Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, wiring, and components in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform necessary repairs or component replacements to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations.
- Conduct routine inspections and functional tests of electrical panels, motors, lighting systems, distribution boards, and related equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment issues promptly.
- Installation of Electrical Systems
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems, equipment, and system upgrades.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Perform testing and verification procedures to ensure system integrity before energizing or project handover.
- Support electrical improvement and modification projects as required.
- Safety and Compliance
- Comply with Vital Group’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable safety regulations and industry standards.
- Promote a safe and hazard-free work environment by identifying and reporting potential risks.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
- Employment certificates
- NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
- PEOS certificate
