Qassim University Medical City is seeking qualified and experienced EEG / Sleep Apnea Nurses to join its healthcare team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidates will assist in electroencephalography (EEG), neurophysiology procedures, and sleep apnea studies while providing safe, patient-centered nursing care. Applicants must be registered nurses in the Philippines with at least two years of relevant experience in EEG and neurophysiology procedures and/or a sleep apnea unit.

EEG / SLEP APNEA NURSE

Qualifications:

• Female applicants only.
• Must be a Registered Nurse in the Philippines.
• Must be 24–37 years old.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in:
  • EEG and neurophysiology procedures.
  • A sleep apnea unit or sleep study setting.
• Applicants may apply with or without DataFlow verification and Mumaris eligibility, as specified by the employer.
• Good English communication skills.
• Computer skills must be Level III-E, as specified in the vacancy requirements.
• Knowledge of patient preparation, monitoring, clinical documentation, and infection prevention.
• Familiarity with EEG equipment, neurophysiology procedures, and sleep study monitoring.
• Strong observation, communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
• Able to work effectively with physicians, technicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and assistance to patients undergoing EEG, neurophysiology, and sleep apnea procedures.
• Prepare patients for scheduled diagnostic examinations and explain procedures clearly.
• Obtain relevant patient histories and document pertinent clinical information.
• Verify patient identity and confirm the requested diagnostic procedure before testing.
• Prepare patients and examination areas according to established clinical protocols.
• Assist with EEG electrode placement and preparation of the scalp as required by the procedure and the nurse’s authorized scope of practice.
• Operate or assist with EEG equipment and related monitoring devices according to training and facility protocols.
• Assist with sleep studies and sleep apnea assessments, including patient preparation and monitoring.
• Apply and check appropriate sensors and monitoring equipment according to established procedures.
• Monitor patients during diagnostic procedures and observe for discomfort, changes in condition, or other concerns.
• Recognize and promptly report abnormal observations or potential clinical emergencies to the responsible healthcare professional.
• Follow infection prevention, patient identification, and clinical safety protocols.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and comfort throughout procedures.
• Record nursing observations, patient responses, procedure-related information, and other required documentation accurately.
• Check diagnostic equipment and supplies before use and report malfunctioning equipment.
• Clean, disinfect, and prepare equipment and procedure areas according to facility policies.
• Coordinate with physicians, neurophysiology technicians, respiratory care personnel, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Provide appropriate patient instructions before and after procedures as directed by clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records and other approved computer systems.
• Follow hospital policies, professional nursing standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Perform other related nursing duties within the assigned scope of practice.
