DERMATOLOGY / DENTAL NURSES

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Female, minimum of 2 years work experience
• 21 To 45 years old
• Must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Nursing or similar fields.
• Dental Hygienist, knowledge in dental hygiene and dental therapy
• GCC previous employment experience is a must.
• A high level of manual dexterity (be good with your hands) good eyesight.
• Good physical health, friendly and sympathetic approach with a calm, confident and reassuring manner
• An ability to relate well to a wide range of people.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Preparing fillings and other materials.
• Providing support and reassurance to the patient.
• Sterilising instruments.
• Processing and filing x-rays.
• Tidying and cleaning the dental surgery.
• Recording and filing information about patients.
• Advising patients on oral hygiene.
• Carrying out stock control.
• Advise the Lead Nurse of any faulty or poorly functioning equipment, so that prompt action can be taken to remedy any defects/problems
• Assist the dentist/hygienist/therapist in all clinical procedures, providing chairside assistance.
• Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene and cross infection control, according to the latest guidelines and following practice procedures and policy.
• Dermatology nursing is a specialty where nurses focus on conditions of the skin.
• A dermatology nurse ensures patients are able to help patients with wound treatment, skin injuries, and other skin disorders.
• Dermatology nurses are familiar with topical medications, skin cancer surgery, and plastic surgery treatments.
• The skin is the largest organ and dermatology nurses have an important role in protecting that organ.
• Assist in performing physical assessments and skin exams
• Take and record patient medical history
• Assist physicians in performing cosmetic dermatology procedures
• Carry out pre and post-operative care for patients undergoing various procedures Perform
