COST ANALYST

Qualifications:

• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Studies, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Cost Analyst.
• Experience in cost accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
• Strong experience in budget review, cost control, budget forecasting, preparation, and monitoring.
• Experience in financial planning and analyzing budget variances.
• Proficiency in computer operations, particularly Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
• Must be self-motivated, well-organized, and capable of working independently.
• Strong practical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data, operating costs, and budget performance.
• Perform cost accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
• Review budgets and identify discrepancies, cost variations, and areas for improvement.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets, financial plans, and cost forecasts.
• Monitor budget utilization and track actual expenditures against approved budgets.
• Implement and monitor cost-control procedures to support efficient resource allocation.
• Prepare regular cost reports and budget monitoring updates for management.
• Analyze variances between actual costs and budgeted or forecasted amounts.
• Provide practical recommendations to improve cost efficiency and financial performance.
• Maintain accurate financial records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
• Use Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access, for financial analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to collect financial data and ensure accurate budget information.
