CONCRETE PUMP OPERATOR

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facilities maintenance within high-end environments
  • With Valid Passport at least 1 year validity.
  • Must have experience in related.
  • Must have Philippine Driver’s License with the Restriction code of 1238

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a concrete pump truck to/from the company yard and job/construction sites located throughout the greater Auckland and Northland areas ensuring that the pump truck is being driven in a safe, conscientious and lawful manner
  • Prioritize workload to ensure work of the great importance to the business is undertaken with urgency and to a high standard.
  • Support and help develop a positive workplace culture.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Responsibly manage all business resources within accountability levels.
  • Undertake all duties and responsibilities outlined in this Job Description and all other duties required by the business.
  • Comply with all employment obligations.
  • Promptly undertake to complete all reasonable and lawful instructions and directions given.
  • Be punctual and work the hours and times specified.
  • Evaluate site conditions and setup the truck appropriately. To always operate the pump in a safe, conscientious manner as required by the company, the company managing the construction site and any applicable governing agency.
  • Operates the boom and pump as required to place concrete in the desired locations. Immediate notification to the Site Manager, or other designated personnel, of any unsafe job-site condition.
  • Assume sole ownership of any and all decisions made in the course of performing their job and the consequences. Required to report immediately to management any and all incidents and accidents, including injuries to the operator.
  • Setup system, and clean out the pump after the job while complying with all company policies and procedures.
  • Uses and cares for tools and equipment associated with and including the concrete pump and truck. Loads and unloads concrete pumps and attachments.
  • Perform routine maintenance and light repair of pumps; know pump ell enough to recognize problems and report them.
  • Keep pump washed and free of concrete and grease. Keep system free of concrete.
  • Maintain excellent and professional customer relations. Represent the Company through efficient work and friendly, courteous service.
  • Complete and submit pump inspection forms. Complete and submit pump maintenance forms. Keep an accurate timecard of time worked.
  • Ensure all vehicle licences, health and safety licences, registration documents an testing as required by law as it applies to the equipment assigned are maintained andu up to date.
  • Ensure daily job sheets are complete and accurate and then forward to the Operations Manager for processing. Must be able to work long hours and overtime as required.
  • Transfer 2″ to 5″ hose from truck rack to ground, from ground to area of need and reposition hose to install clamps.
  • Transfer 2″ to 5″ hose to/from, truck rack and to/from area of need
  • Transfer pipes, hoses to/from truck, to/from area of need and reposition to install clamps.
  • Transfer pipes from ground, stand pipes up to dump out concrete when breaking down job.
  • Transfer hoses to/from truck, to/from area of need and position tip hose.
  • Grease nipples, engage lever on hose sprayer to wash down hopper, pump and equipment.
  • Access elevated pour locations to set up and break down hoses and pipes.
  • Position/remove gaskets and clamps when setting up and braking down hoses/pipes.
  • Must stand to set-up, operate, tear down and wash down concrete pump and equipment; to shovel dirt prior to setting outriggers; to operate pump remote; to monitor pour.
