CNC Machinist

Qualifications:

• High school graduate / ALS certified
• Experience for at least 3 years as a CNC Operator; preferably in Voortman brand with CNC Beamcut 6-axis
• Ability to operate and program CNC Machines using various software
• Can read and interpret drawings and technical specifications
• Detail oriented and commitment to product quality
• Good understanding of safety procedures related to CNC Operators
• 4-wheel driver’s license is an asset, but not a requirement
• Possess good level of English communication skills

Job Description:

• Develop CNC programs from drawings and technical specifications
• Verify and optimize programs to maximize production efficiency
• Install necessary tools and fixtures on CNC machine
• Set machine parameters to ensure production meets quality standards
• Monitor the production process, ensuring that machines are operating correctly
• Carry out regular checks to ensure the accuracy of the parts produced
• Carry out regular maintenance operations to ensure machines are running smoothly
• Identify and report potential problems, and propose solutions to optimize equipment life
• Carry out quality checks on parts produced to ensure compliance with specifications
• Collaborate with the quality control team
• Work closely with production team members to optimize processes
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to ensure coordination of activities

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
