Carpentry

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years working experience
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate or similar fields.
• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers.
• Ability to estimate time and materials needed for assigned work projects.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the carpentry trade.
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read production documents, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of materials needed.
• Operates and performs preventative maintenance on hand and powers saws, planers, lathes, joiners, shapers, drills, sanders, and a variety of hand tools.
• Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
• Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
• Practice self-supervision on small jobs and ensure you complete each project in an efficient, timely manner.
• Cleans equipment shop, area, or work site.
