BOILERMAKER / FABRICATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Minimum 5 years trade experience
• Relevant trade qualification
• Able to read and interpret complex drawings
• Excellent understanding of AS 1554 Part 1 to 5
• Follow WPS and pass WPQ
• Understand heat treatment of materials
• Understanding of flame correction
• Understand and apply other preparation requirements
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and equipment for modification, fabrication and repair
• Must be competent in welding of Steel, Stainless and Aluminium.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• A self-starter with a “can do attitude” and flexible approach in the workplace
• Good communication skills both verbally and written
• Ability to work equally either autonomously or part of a team
•  Experience in a jobbing shop environment
•  Demonstrate & encourage safe work practices
•  Work effectively and efficiently with high standards
• Forklift license desirable
• Equipped with own tools
•  Reliable transportation
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen
• Dogging/Rigging desirable but not essential Key Task
• General steel fabrication
• Welding FCAW, GMAW and GTAW
• Carbon Arc Air Gouging
• Fabrication inspection
• Fabrication repair
• Scope of works reports
• Consistently Increase fabrication efficiency, quality & standards
• Read and understand mechanical drawings
• Prioritise work under direction of Department Manager
• Carry out tasks as directed by the Department manager
• Operate the overhead cranes in a safe manner
• Packing of goods always to a standard after completion
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace
• Cleaning machines & equipment
• Use measuring equipment
• Complete & record time sheets and job cards according to company standards

REQUIREMENTS:

• Updated resume with picture
• POEA E-Reg and POEA PEOS
• Certificate of Employment
• Must have valid passport
