AGS Global Services Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Blaster Painter to perform abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and industrial painting works in accordance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in blasting and painting operations, equipment handling, and scaffolding work within industrial or marine environments.

BLASTER PAINTER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience as a Blaster Painter.
• Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in relevant fields or similar.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
• Experienced in operating abrasive blasting and industrial painting equipment.
• Knowledgeable in surface preparation, coating application, and finishing processes.
• Must have experience and knowledge in scaffolding.
• Familiar with industrial safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work in physically demanding and hazardous environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Operate abrasive blasting equipment to clean and smooth surfaces by removing rust, old paint, and contaminants.
• Mix paints and apply primers or finish coats using conventional, airless, or plural spray systems, brushes, and rollers.
• Use and maintain blasting and painting equipment including blast pots, spray guns, and grinding tools.
• Apply masking tape and protective coverings to surfaces not intended for painting.
• Inspect prepared and painted surfaces to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Perform scaffolding-related tasks as required during blasting and painting operations.
• Follow strict safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and clean condition.
