BEACH ATTENDANT
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
- At least High School Graduate.
- Previous experience as a Beach Attendant, Hotel Attendant, Resort Staff, Recreation Attendant, or similar hospitality position is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
- Good awareness of beach safety, weather conditions, and environmental hazards.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and support lifeguards and security personnel when necessary.
- Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, lifting, carrying beach equipment, and working outdoors for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in sunny, hot, windy, wet, and changing outdoor conditions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate in basic English with guests, supervisors, and coworkers.
- Knowledge of basic health, safety, sanitation, and environmental procedures.
- Alert, responsible, reliable, and able to respond appropriately to guest needs and safety concerns.
- Strong teamwork, discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to providing a memorable guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional, and attentive service throughout their beach experience.
- Assist guests with beach facilities, seating arrangements, umbrellas, loungers, towels, and other available amenities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming beach environment at all times.
- Set up, arrange, clean, and maintain beach chairs, loungers, umbrellas, tables, and other beach equipment.
- Provide and collect towels, beach equipment, and other guest amenities as required.
- Monitor the condition of beach facilities and report damaged or unsafe equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain awareness of weather conditions, sea conditions, and potential beach safety hazards.
- Follow established beach safety procedures and immediately report dangerous conditions or emergencies.
- Support lifeguards and security teams when necessary during guest assistance, emergencies, or safety-related situations.
- Observe guests and beach areas for potential safety concerns and promptly report incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist guests with reasonable requests and respond professionally to questions, concerns, and special requirements.
- Maintain proper cleanliness by collecting rubbish, clearing debris, and keeping guest areas and surrounding facilities tidy.
- Ensure beach equipment and supplies are properly stored, maintained, and readily available for guests.
- Follow health, safety, sanitation, environmental, and hotel operating procedures.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing beach operations, including equipment setup, collection, storage, and area inspection.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate courteous and respectful behavior toward all guests.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, maintenance, lifeguards, security, and other hotel departments as required.
- Report accidents, injuries, lost property, damaged equipment, guest complaints, and other incidents promptly.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe working practices when required.
- Perform other beach operations, guest service, cleaning, and hospitality duties assigned by management.
