South Avenues Saloon & SPA Company For Ladies is seeking qualified and experienced Assistant Hair Dressers to support its professional salon team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will assist hairdressers in providing hair care and styling services, prepare clients and salon workstations, handle hairdressing tools and equipment, and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and customer service.

ASSISTANT HAIR DRESSER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.
• Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic hair cutting, styling, coloring, and hair treatment techniques.
• Familiarity with common salon tools and equipment.
• Basic understanding of hair care products and their proper use.
• Knowledge of proper salon hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, courteous, patient, and professional when dealing with clients.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Able to work for extended periods and perform hands-on salon duties.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced salon environment.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
• Willing to follow instructions and learn new hair care and styling techniques.
• Reliable, hardworking, well-groomed, and able to work effectively as part of a salon team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the hairdresser in providing professional hair care and styling services to clients.
• Prepare clients for hair services according to the instructions of the assigned hairdresser.
• Prepare hairdressing tools, equipment, products, towels, and other supplies before services.
• Set up and maintain clean, organized, and properly equipped workstations.
• Assist with basic hair washing, shampooing, conditioning, and preparation.
• Assist with basic hair cutting, styling, blow-drying, and finishing procedures under supervision.
• Assist with hair coloring, bleaching, highlighting, and other coloring services as directed.
• Help prepare and apply hair treatments according to salon procedures and the hairdresser’s instructions.
• Assist in preparing clients for hair treatments, coloring, styling, and other salon services.
• Properly handle and maintain common salon tools and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize combs, brushes, scissors, styling tools, and other reusable equipment.
• Ensure salon tools and equipment are safely stored after use.
• Prepare and maintain towels, capes, gowns, and other salon materials.
• Monitor the availability of shampoos, conditioners, hair treatments, coloring products, and other supplies.
• Report damaged equipment or insufficient salon supplies to the supervisor.
• Follow proper salon safety, hygiene, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional salon environment.
• Provide courteous, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Assist clients with basic requests and direct technical concerns to the assigned hairdresser.
• Respect client privacy and maintain professional conduct at all times.
• Work efficiently during busy periods and assist the salon team in maintaining smooth operations.
• Perform other hairdressing, salon, and support duties assigned by management.
