Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic (Engine Workshop) to perform scheduled and unscheduled engine and APU maintenance activities within the engine facility. The successful candidate will support engine maintenance, build-up activities, borescope inspections, AOG recovery, and other assigned technical tasks while strictly following approved maintenance data, manufacturer instructions, company procedures, and aviation safety standards.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Aviation/Aeronautics/Astronautics) or similar fields.
- Previous Qatar Airways fleet engine type maintenance experience is required.
- Experience in aircraft engine maintenance, overhaul, repair, inspection, or engine workshop operations.
- Practical knowledge of scheduled and unscheduled Engine and APU maintenance activities.
- Experience working with approved aircraft engine maintenance data, technical manuals, and company maintenance documentation.
- Ability to understand and follow manufacturer maintenance procedures and applicable safety precautions.
- Knowledge of engine workshop tools, equipment, maintenance practices, and quality requirements.
- Ability to work effectively under the direction of Engineers and Supervisors while independently completing familiar assigned tasks.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety, maintenance procedures, quality standards, and technical documentation.
- V2500, Trent 500, GE CF6-80E1, GE90, GEnx, GP7000, and Trent XWB build-up and maintenance experience will be an added advantage.
- Borescope support experience for V2500, Trent 500, GE CF6-80E1, GE90, APS3200, GEnx, and GP7000 will be an added advantage.
- Experience supporting AOG recovery operations is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining aircraft engine safety and airworthiness standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced engine maintenance environment and respond effectively to operational requirements.
- Good communication and teamwork skills when coordinating with Engineers, Supervisors, and other technical personnel.
- Strong commitment to housekeeping, workplace safety, and compliance with Engine Maintenance SOPs.
- Reliable, disciplined, technically competent, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled Engine and APU maintenance tasks in accordance with the approved work scope and engine facility capabilities.
- Carry out assigned engine maintenance activities under the direction of the Engineer or Supervisor.
- Support BSI (Borescope Inspection) activities as required by the engine facility work scope and assigned duties.
- Perform engine maintenance, inspection, servicing, removal, installation, and related workshop activities according to approved procedures.
- Ensure familiarity with all assigned maintenance tasks and seek appropriate guidance when encountering unfamiliar procedures or technical activities.
- Access and use current company technical documents and approved maintenance data relevant to Engine and APU maintenance.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed using the latest applicable maintenance data, manuals, technical instructions, and procedures.
- Follow manufacturer recommendations and company publications when carrying out scheduled and unscheduled engine maintenance.
- Strictly observe all applicable safety precautions during engine maintenance, inspection, servicing, and workshop activities.
- Comply with all Engine Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions communicated through toolbox talks by Engineers or Supervisors.
- Properly use approved tools, equipment, ground support equipment, and workshop facilities for assigned maintenance activities.
- Inspect tools and equipment before use and report defective or unserviceable items to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation associated with completed maintenance tasks.
- Ensure assigned work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timeframes.
- Support internal and external AOG (Aircraft on Ground) recovery activities as allocated by Engine Facility Management.
- Provide technical and operational support during urgent engine-related maintenance requirements and recovery operations.
- Coordinate with Engineers, Supervisors, mechanics, inspectors, and other technical personnel to ensure safe and efficient completion of maintenance activities.
- Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping within the Engine Facility at all times.
- Ensure workstations, engine components, tools, equipment, and storage areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all applicable company health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
- Report technical issues, maintenance discrepancies, safety concerns, or equipment problems to the appropriate Engineer or Supervisor.
- Perform other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
- Employment certificates
- NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
- PEOS certificate
