ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as an Electronics Technician or in a similar position.
• Graduate of Electronics Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Technology, or TESDA related training.
• Hands-on knowledge and practical experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuit boards/PCBs.
• Proficient in soldering and desoldering electronic components.
• Experience performing PCB rework and component replacement.
• Experienced in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, and other electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electronic circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of electronic components, circuits, connections, and testing procedures.
• Ability to perform precise hands-on repair work with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of proper handling and protection of sensitive electronic components.
• Ability to conduct functional testing and verify equipment performance after repair.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours, overtime, or shifts when required.
• Responsible, reliable, hardworking, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Able to follow technical instructions, company procedures, and workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electronic equipment, components, and systems.
• Inspect and test printed circuit boards (PCBs) to identify defective components, damaged connections, and circuit faults.
• Perform repair and rework of electronic circuit boards and related components.
• Conduct soldering and desoldering of electronic components using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Replace damaged, defective, or malfunctioning electronic components on PCBs.
• Perform PCB rework while maintaining proper component placement, connections, and workmanship standards.
• Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, and other electronic testing equipment to diagnose faults.
• Measure voltage, current, resistance, continuity, signals, and other electrical parameters as required.
• Interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Inspect electronic components and assemblies for physical damage, poor solder joints, loose connections, and other defects.
• Perform functional testing after repairs to confirm that equipment and circuit boards operate correctly.
• Identify recurring electronic faults and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, repairs, replaced components, and technical findings.
• Properly handle electronic components, circuit boards, tools, and testing equipment to prevent damage.
• Maintain soldering stations, testing instruments, tools, and workstations in clean and safe working condition.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, technical procedures, workplace safety requirements, and company standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians regarding complex repairs and technical issues.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and other electronic repair activities as assigned.
• Work flexible hours, overtime, or shifts when required by the company.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe technical work area.
