Thomas Mining SARL is seeking a qualified Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations in mineral or industrial testing environments in Congo. The role involves sample handling, routine testing, and accurate documentation of laboratory results while ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and safety procedures.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Male, 25–40 years old.
• Degree in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field is an advantage.
• Proficiency in using laboratory instruments and diagnostic/testing equipment.
• Minimum relevant experience in laboratory work or industrial testing is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and laboratory safety standards strictly.
• Good organizational and documentation skills.
• Willing to work in Congo and adapt to mining/industrial laboratory environments.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, prepare, label, and properly store laboratory samples in accordance with standard procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses using appropriate laboratory instruments and diagnostic equipment.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory tools and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Record, verify, and document test results with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain organized laboratory records and ensure proper documentation for audits and reporting.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Assist in quality control procedures and ensure compliance with laboratory standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors and technical staff regarding sample processing and testing requirements.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory workspace and equipment.
• Perform other laboratory-related duties as assigned.
