Stellar New Zealand Ltd. is seeking experienced and skilled Diesel Mechanics for deployment to New Zealand. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, repair, and servicing of fleet vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure operational reliability and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

DIESEL MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years verifiable experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• At least 5 years work experience in repairing heavy equipment.
• TESDA NC II Heavy Diesel Mechanic certification is preferred.
• Must be capable of performing engine diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on fleet and heavy vehicles.
• Ability to work on scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups.
• Skilled in reassembling, testing, and adjusting engines and components after repair.
• Must be available for callouts and emergency breakdown services.
• Must hold a Class 7 New Zealand Driver’s License.
• Strong technical, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair skills.
• Physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work in demanding environments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform full maintenance and repair services on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Conduct scheduled servicing such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and repair engines and vehicle systems efficiently.
• Reassemble, test, and adjust engines and components after repair work.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts to ensure fleet availability.
• Ensure all repairs comply with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure roadworthiness and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with fleet supervisors and maintenance teams for repair schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of workshop tools and equipment.
