SENIOR AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on automotive technician experience in a recognized dealership, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
- Graduate of automotive technology program, trade school, or equivalent apprenticeship (preferred)
- Certification from an authorized vehicle manufacturer training program is an advantage
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with dealership management systems and diagnostic software
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, service, and repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards, including fuel, brakes, steering, suspension, engine and drivetrain, emissions, AC, and electrical/electronic systems
- Utilize electronic diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to accurately identify fault codes and faulty components
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all required repairs are identified, documented, and completed to prevent repeat visits
- Perform road tests and diagnostic procedures to verify concerns and confirm repairs
- Provide expert technical advice and maintenance recommendations to service advisors
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid replacements, brake servicing, and system flushes
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and personal tool inventory in proper working condition
- Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on evolving automotive technologies and repair techniques
- Accurately complete job documentation, including equipment and hoist inspection logs
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer quality and safety standards, as well as local regulatory requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management
