Warehouse Assistant (Meat Industry)
Qualifications:
- With experience in warehouse operations, preferably in food or meat industry
- Knowledge of cold storage handling and food safety standards is an advantage
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
- Detail-oriented with strong focus on hygiene and quality
- Able to follow instructions and meet deadlines
- Willing to work in refrigerated environment
- With good work ethics and professional attitude
Responsibilities:
- Handle receipt, storage, movement, and delivery of raw materials and finished products in a meat processing plant
- Inspect incoming goods for quantity, quality, and temperature (cold chain compliance)
- Store products properly in refrigerators or freezers following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
- Prepare and pick orders accurately based on production or sales requirements
- Perform packaging, weighing, and labeling of products for shipment
- Use manual handling tools to safely move products within the warehouse
- Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and sanitation of the work area
- Follow strict HACCP, food safety, and occupational safety regulations
- Conduct visual quality checks for damage or contamination
- Maintain and properly use tools, equipment, and protective gear
- Report damaged or missing equipment for immediate action
