Working International Resourcing Limited is seeking an experienced Pen Rider to support feedlot operations through effective cattle handling and health monitoring. The role requires strong horsemanship skills, attention to animal welfare, and the ability to work independently in a farm environment.

PEN RIDER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in livestock or feedlot operations
• Strong communication skills
• Competent horsemanship and riding skills
• Excellent cattle handling skills
• High attention to detail and ability to monitor animal health
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Responsibilities:

• Perform low-stress cattle handling within the feedlot
• Conduct drafting and cutting of cattle as required
• Move and manage cattle between pens safely and efficiently
• Monitor and assess animal health with a focus on welfare standards
• Assist in arrival and dispatch processes of livestock
• Administer animal health treatments as required
• Maintain accurate daily records and perform data entry (training provided)
• Follow all workplace policies, procedures, and safety standards
