Nesma & Partners is seeking an experienced Lifting/Rigging Supervisor to oversee and manage heavy lifting operations, ensuring all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in lift planning, risk assessment, and supervision of critical lifting activities, particularly within large-scale industrial or construction environments.

Lifting/Rigging Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Strong background in heavy lifting operations and rigging supervision
  • Must have LEEA AP (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association Advanced Programme) Certification
  • Experience with Aramco projects and certification is an advantage
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Computer literate with good technical documentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all lifting and rigging operations on-site
  • Prepare and review lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments for heavy and critical lifts
  • Ensure safe assembly, dismantling, and operation of lifting equipment (including crawler cranes)
  • Monitor compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and client requirements (e.g., Aramco standards)
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for rigging teams
  • Inspect lifting gear and ensure proper certification and usage
  • Coordinate with project teams, engineers, and operators to ensure smooth execution of lifting activities
