Chef de Partie (Pastry)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in pastry or baking within the Food and Beverage industry.
- Must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Hospitality, Tourism Management, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert presentation.
- Good communication skills are required.
- Diploma or relevant training certificate is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, bake, and present a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and plated desserts with consistency in taste and presentation.
- Lead and manage the pastry section, including daily mise-en-place and workflow organization.
- Ensure strict compliance with hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP).
- Train, supervise, and support junior kitchen staff, including Commis Chefs.
- Monitor inventory, manage stock levels, and handle ordering of ingredients while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Collaborate with the culinary team in developing new, seasonal, and innovative dessert menus.
