COST CONTROL ENGINEER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of working experience in cost control and project management, preferably in oil & gas, EPC, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Civil, Computer/Telecommunication, Mechanical), Finance/Accountancy/Banking, or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proficiency in cost control and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, Excel).
- Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Expertise in cost control systems and procedures.
- Ability to analyze cost variance and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and capable of preparing accurate cost reports and summaries.
- Proficient in managing large-scale project costs and budgets.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, monitor, and control project costs to ensure delivery within approved budgets.
- Perform cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for all project phases.
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor project expenditures and track costs against approved budgets.
- Conduct cost variance analysis and identify deviations from baseline budgets.
- Implement and maintain cost control systems and procedures.
- Prepare and update cost reports, dashboards, and financial summaries.
- Support project controls through earned value management (EVM) analysis.
- Coordinate with planning, procurement, and engineering teams to align cost and schedule data.
- Review contractor invoices and validate progress payments.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, financial, and company policies.
