WELDER / FLAME CUTTER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Engineering (Metal Fabrication / Tool & Die / Welding) or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in GMAW/MAG welding, fillet welds on steel (T=12mm), PB position, multilayer techniques.
  • Good to very good English language skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication and Repair: Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately cut, shape, and join metal components, including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
  • Welding Processes: Perform high-quality MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) welds according to specifications.
  • Preparation and Finishing: Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and positioning pieces with clamps and jigs.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Monitor welding processes to ensure compliance with technical specifications, inspecting completed joints for defects.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate protective gear, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
