Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience as a Sand Blaster and/or Painter
- Experience in industrial painting and surface preparation
- Familiarity with sandblasting equipment and safety practices
- Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments
- Physically fit and able to handle manual labor
- Willingness to work in Australia
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for coating using sandblasting, grinding, or cleaning methods
- Remove rust, old paint, and contaminants from metal surfaces
- Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure proper paint thickness, adhesion, and finish quality
- Mix paint materials according to specifications
- Inspect surfaces and touch up defects or uneven coatings
- Maintain and clean blasting and painting equipment
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades for work schedules
- Maintain work area cleanliness and comply with environmental regulations
