FARM OPERATIONS MANAGER

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to manage farm operations, staff, and production systems
• Strong understanding of crop production, basic soil management, and farm planning
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on farm duties
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative

Responsibilities:

• Communicate regularly with the farm owner regarding performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
• Monitor crop performance, soil conditions, and yields, implementing improvements to maximise quality and output
• Oversee production of tropical fruits, vegetables, root crops, honey, and livestock in line with organic and sustainable practices
• Manage and allocate resources effectively, including labour, machinery, and materials, to maximise productivity and efficiency
• Actively work in the field, leading by example in daily farm operations, including planting, tractor and truck operation, crop maintenance, and general farm duties
• Develop and implement annual and seasonal farm plans, including planting, growing, harvesting, and crop rotation schedules
