Qualifications:
- Male, 23–40 years old
- Minimum height requirement: 165 cm
- Must have diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or Metallurgy, an advantage)
- Experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment (automotive industry experience), an advantage
- Skilled in operating casting machines
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and general PC use
- Able to use measuring tools such as sliding gauges and other precision instruments
- Forklift experience, an advantage
- Must be proficient in English (B1–B2 level)
- Must be physically fit
Responsibilities:
- The foundry worker is jointly responsible for the quantity and quality of the wheels they produce
- They are responsible for the proper documentation of production for both the manufacturing process and payroll calculations.
- They are responsible for order and cleanliness in the workplace and compliance with occupational safety regulations.
- Waste sorting and maintaining order at collection points in accordance with applicable standards
- Compliance with environmental protection principles in accordance with ISO 14001, in particular rules for the handling of waste, chemicals, and wastewater, and the reduction of air pollution
- Checking the casting machine for functionality and proper condition, preparing for the assembly of casting molds – molds
- Assembling, disassembling, and adjusting casting molds – molds, heating, blasting, and spraying molds with insulating and lubricating agents
- Testing the functionality of the installed mold and other tools
- Preparing the metal riser system
- Checking casting parameters
- Casting wheels according to specified casting data and instructions from the shift supervisor and shift manager
- Checking cast wheels according to work instructions and quality regulations
- Removing foundry flash from castings if necessary
- Marking cast wheels with the required data
- Maintenance and intermediate maintenance of molds on casting machines and tools used
- Replacing and adjusting molds, repairing the metal riser system
- Manual transport of castings to the cooling tank and X-ray inspection as needed
- Accurate completion of work instructions
- Cleaning and maintenance of casting machines and low-pressure furnaces
- Emptying, cleaning, or filling low-pressure furnaces as needed
- Cleaning the workplace during and at the end of the shift
- The employee must comply with safety regulations and work procedures, always use the assigned personal protective equipment, and perform all activities in accordance with the occupational safety policy according to ISO 45001.
- In the event of any irregularities, malfunctions, or deviations during operation, inform the shift supervisor, foundry management, production management, and quality department.
