ELEVATOR INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or vocational/technical school graduate (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred).
- Proven experience in servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting elevators, escalators, or similar equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, mechanical assemblies, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and servicing of elevators, escalators, and related lift systems.
- Diagnose malfunctions and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.
- Repair or replace defective components such as motors, cables, switches, doors, and control systems.
- Test equipment for safety, functionality, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Recommend preventive measures and upgrades to improve system performance.
- Collaborate with building managers, contractors, and other technicians on service schedules.
