Shift Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) / Technical certificate course
  • 2-3 years experience

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, supervise and maintain to ensure work is carried according to B.R.C required work system.
  • Ensure that all preventative maintenance requirements of machine are meet.
  • Arrange and identify on the job training gaps for your subordinates.
  • Ensure that all statutes are complied with.
  • Ensure that can line department is clean at all times
  • Attend to daily production meeting to report on can line efficiency.
  • Ensure that planned can line production efficiency is meet.
  • Keep and control manning level in your department within the company budget.
  • Liaise with engineering department to ensure that all breakdowns reported are completed within reasonable time.
  • Ensure that your departments execute and follow B.R.C work system for good quality product.
  • Liaise and ensure that there are enough raw materials from suppliers to run the factory.
  • Coordinate and ensure that on the job training get to be implemented especially for new recruits.
  • Liaise and coordinate to ensure that all customer quality related queries are attended to and resolved in time.
  • Keep and maintain general discipline of all employees
  • Take ownership & leadership of the line & cultivate the same in individual team members (m/c specialists).
  • Maintain relationship via positive interaction with each brigade member and influence him positively to excel in his area.
  • Organization of staff and their duties – i.e. Aware of what tasks staff are performing and where they are at any given time. Control attendance and overtime.
  • Produce Quality product on time with zero defects ensuring the quality of product at every stage on line. Inspire and explain to brigade employees to follow systems effectively to produce quality cans and achieve highest order of traceability.
  • Achieve the target with minimum spoilage & optimum utilization of time & resources. (i.e Man, M/c & Material). Verify that production sampling plans are followed in spirit by cross checking personally once a shift.
  • Conducting shift wise brigade meeting & reviewing about the previous production, spoilage and downtimes.
  • aking & giving proper handover to the colleagues regarding previous shifts & key areas to focus on.
  • Give feedback to Production Manager / Plant Manager on ways and means to improve productivity and morale.
  • Report any undue activity by man or machine which is not in the regular course of work.
  • No malpractices to be followed on working area. Take effective action and report the same if observed.
  • Ensure line clearance during litho change & handling proper production orders on line wherever req.
  • Make thorough production reports, filling breakdown register,& feeding the required data to SAP system.
  • Control daily absence and over-time.
  • nculcate frequent habit of referring to machine manuals and technical notes provided.
  • To create a harmonious and effective work relationship between Production and Technical departments

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
  • Employment certificates
  • NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
  • PEOS certificate
