PWHT TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred
• Minimum of 5 years work experience

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate PWHT equipment, including electrical resistance, induction, and gas-fired heating systems.
• Perform heat treatment of welds, joints, and components as per approved procedures and specifications.
• Install thermocouples, insulation, and heating elements for accurate temperature monitoring and control.
• Interpret PWHT procedures, isometric drawings, and heat treatment diagrams.
• Record temperature charts and maintain detailed documentation for QA/QC verification.
• Conduct pre- and post-job inspections of components to ensure correct treatment.
• Ensure all PWHT equipment is calibrated, maintained, and in safe working condition.
• Follow strict safety protocols during high-temperature operations and confined space works.
• Assist in hardness testing, stress relieving, and metallurgical evaluations as required.
• Coordinate with welders, inspectors, and supervisors to meet production schedules.
