IT Administrator

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT Administration or similar role
  • Experience in education environments preferred
  • Strong Knowledge of Windows and Apple IOS environments
  • Hands on experience with networking, firewalls, servers and backup solutions
  • Familiarity with educational platforms (google Workspace for education, Seesaw, LMSs, SISs)
  • AV systems and theater tech knowledge (sound, lighting, rigging)
  • Certificate holder CompTIA A+/Network+/Server+ ; Microsoft (MCSA, MCSE) ; Cisco CCNA ; Google for Education Certified Educator or Admin

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure and maintain servers, wired and wireless networks, routers, firewalls, and other infrastructure systems
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network and server performance, connectivity issues, and system health
  • Ensure network security protocols, backup procedures, disaster recovery plans, and data integrity are in place and operational
  • Maintain Active Directory Web filtering systems, VPNs, and other access control solutions.
  • Operate and maintain AV equipment (projectors, sound systems, lighting rigs, Apple TVs, PA systems, etc) for daily use and events
  • Provide AV support for assemblies, performances, and school events
  • Maintain and inventory AV equipment and ensure the functionality of the auditorium and other event space
  • Create ID cards and Manage access systems as needed
  • Setup and Manage school-wide printing systems, including account creation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Liaise with vendors for supply refils and printer servicing
  • Generate usage reports and maintain printing records.
  • Ensure the reliability and integrity of data systems
  • Manage User permissions and system configurations
  • Collaboration with departmenbts to strealime data workflows and maintain data hygiene
  • Stay updated with cyber security practices and implement protective measures
