PLANNING ENGINEER (ALL DISCIPLINE)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Must have knowledge of Primavera P6 and possess a P6 Certificate.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar planning and scheduling position within multi-discipline projects.
• GCC experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project control techniques.
• Experience in preparing baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and project progress reports.
• Ability to analyze project performance and identify schedule risks and delays.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Proficient in project planning software, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, and management personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, develop, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules.
• Develop baseline schedules, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans as required.
• Analyze project performance and identify potential delays, risks, and critical path activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Coordinate with Project Control Manager (PCM), Contracts Manager, and Procurement Manager regarding project and contract-related matters.
• Track procurement, engineering, construction, and commissioning activities to ensure alignment with project schedules.
• Assist in resource planning and allocation to support project execution.
• Evaluate schedule impacts resulting from variations, delays, or changes in project scope.
• Support project control activities including forecasting, progress measurement, and performance analysis.
• Maintain accurate planning records, documentation, and project reports.
• Participate in project meetings and provide planning and scheduling updates.
• Ensure compliance with contractual milestones and project objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project planning and project control processes.
