Loading Master (Barge) – Landbased

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred
  • Up to 45 years old.
  • With atleast 3 to 5 years experience in Oil and chemical tanker is an advantage.
  • Must have valid Marlin English Test Certificate or equivalent maritime English proficiency
  • Must be qualified second mate or higher to fit the job. The appointment of a master is recognized by Intl’ Maritime Law.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Marine Operations and has operational knowledge and technical skill as well as being able to understand the barge shore interface.
  • Responsible for the entire process including not only discharging of fuel from the barge but also receiving, safe transfer and flow measurement control.
  • Bachelor’s degree in maritime studies or a related field like navigation, marine engineering or shipping management is preferred and with valid documentation such as:
    • STCW Certificates-Qualification: STCW II 2. STCW VI 1
    • Certificate of Competency Proficiency.
    • Seaman Book Training & Experience Certificates.
    • Passport
