CARPENTER

Qualifications:

• For male applicants
• Minimum of 2 years work experience

Responsibilities:

• Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation
• Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
• Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style.
• Key responsibilities include custom furniture design, material selection, woodworking techniques blueprint interpretation, machine operation, quality control, furniture repairs, collaboration, and safety compliance.
• Work for corporations and design templates for furniture that will be mass-produced and sold in high quantities
• Custom Furniture Design: Proficient in designing and creating custom furniture pieces based on client specifications and
• Material Selection and Measurement: Skilled in selecting appropriate materials for furniture projects and accurately measuring and cutting materials to ensure precision in the final product
• Woodworking Techniques: Mastery of various woodworking techniques, including joinery, carving, and finishing, to produce high-quality and durable furniture
• Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to interpret and work from detailed blueprints and technical drawings, ensuring the accurate exec
• Machine Operation: Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery, such as saws, drills, lathes, and sanders, to shape and assemble furniture components
• Quality Control: Implementing stringent quality control measures to ensure that finished furniture meets industry standards and client expectations
• Repairs and Restorations: Capable of repairing and restoring existing furniture, demonstrating expertise in assessing damage, selecting appropriate repair methods, and seamlessly integrating repairs
