INFECTION CONTROL NURSE

Qualifications:

• Female Applicants
• Preferably with 2 year clinical experience
• Must be BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING GRADUATE

Responsibilities:

• Conducts daily infection surveillance activities to collect and record data on the presence of infection among patients and personnel
• Investigates and analyzes Health Care Acquired Infections in conjunction with the Microbiologist and prepares Health Acquired Infection monthly report for the hospital Infection Control Committee
• Reviews and updates policies/procedures with the Infection Control Head Department and Infection Control Committee members
• Maintain close Liaison with Employee health Clinic of the Hospital to ascertain the presence of infection in hospital personnel
• Acts as resource person on Infection Control issues and support for nurses in clinical areas
• Serves as an adviser to department head on departmental policies and procedures related to infection control
  provides education on Infection Control practice to all staff
• Prepares monthly statistics and other reports on Infection Control in the Hospital
• Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of knowledge, skills and abilities
