Laboratory Technologist (Fertility/Andrology/IVF Lab)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Fertility/Andrology/IVF lab
• Valid Primary license from the country of origin (if applicable) AND should be eligible for license from the Licensing authority in the State of Qatar to practice Healthcare Profession.

Responsibilities:

• The purpose of this role is to perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures on patient samples, including all body fluids and tissue samples, for diagnostic purposes.
• Performs and records results of laboratory testing with a high level of skill and judgement, using knowledge of test accuracy, imprecision, and pre analytical factors to ensure the integrity of laboratory results.
• Participates in the day-to-day management of inventory and expendable supplies.
• Examines body fluids and tissues for abnormal chemical levels, cells, or bacteria.
• Prepares tissues for microscopic examination by pathologists.
• Trains and orients new junior lab staff in the performance and interpretation of tests.
• Keeps aware of current advances and appraises new techniques.
• Participates in Research and Development, clinical trials, and equipment testing.
