BOLT TORQUING TECHNICIAN

Qualifications

  • Male Applicants
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience

Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare torquing equipment, including torque wrenches, hydraulic torquing tools, or other specialized tools required for the job.
  • Review engineering drawings, blueprints, or work instructions to determine the correct torque values and sequence for each bolted connection.
  • Use torque wrenches or other torquing tools to apply the specified amount of torque to bolts.
  • This may involve manually tightening bolts or using powered torquing equipment, depending on the job requirements.
  • Ensure that each bolt is torqued correctly by using calibrated equipment and performing quality checks. This involves verifying the torque values using torque measurement devices, such as torque testers.
