Mechanical Technician

Qualifications

  • Vocational or Technical course graduate, specializing in Automotive Technology, Machine Shop Technology or equivalent 2 years in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years related work experience in facility management, construction or industrial plant involving
    maintenance of mechanical equipment (pumps, valves & piping’s, air compressors and other auxiliary equipment).
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical or workshop safety, computer literate.
  • Knowledge of basic piping drawings, symbols and schematic diagrams.
  • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Performing maintenance tasks such as planned preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and predictive maintenance of Pumps and motors.
  • Follow and ensure the planned maintenance tasks are complete according to schedule.
  • Fill in appropriate checklists/forms resulted from any maintenance activity and submit to MEP Supervisor for
    approval.
  • Follow procedures and work instructions related to maintenance.
  • Conduct walkthrough inspections and provide feedback to MEP supervisor to schedule correction or preventive action.
  • Troubleshooting and provide root cause for any issues reported in Mechanical or Plumbing systems.
  • Conduct quarterly tools and equipment inventory with MEP supervisor.
  • Install comprehensive protection before starting any maintenance activity.
  • Ensuring to clean the area of work prior to leaving the site.
