Pipe Welder (GTAW)

As a Pipe Welder, you will have the chance to showcase your expertise in TIG/GTAW, work with cutting-edge equipment, and collaborate with talented team of professionals. Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Welder
  • GTAW or TIG experience is a MUST
  • Welder Qualification Test (WQT) or Welding Performance Qualification Test (WPQT) certificate
  • Competent to perform welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipe
  • Competent to perform 6G welding
  • Must be able to read and understand technical drawings
  • Experience working in an engineering workshop
  • Documents to support your visa application (passport, police clearances, employment evidences including reference letters, salary evidences such as pay slips or government contribution records, and school records)
  • Work portfolios (photos and/or videos)
  • Good English communication skills

Job Description:

  • Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
  • Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
  • Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
  • Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
  • Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
  • Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
  • Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
  • Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
