Kanazawa Management Center Cooperative is seeking skilled Painters under Japan’s Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program. The successful candidate will perform painting, surface preparation, coating application, and finishing work for residential, commercial, or industrial projects while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.

PAINTER (SSW)

Qualifications:

• At least a High School graduate.
• Physically and mentally fit to work abroad.
• Medically fit for overseas employment.
• Willing to work in Japan under a 5-year Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) contract.
• Skill and Language Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling, and priming as required.
• Apply paint, coatings, varnishes, sealants, and protective finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Mix paints and coatings to achieve the required color, consistency, and finish.
• Repair surface imperfections, cracks, and damaged areas before painting.
• Protect surrounding surfaces and equipment using masking materials and coverings.
• Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality finishes and compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain painting tools, spray equipment, ladders, scaffolding, and other work equipment.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area throughout the project.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to complete assigned work within project schedules.
• Comply with Japanese workplace regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
• Perform other painting and finishing duties assigned by management.
   

For First-Time Applicants:

• Must pass the Prometric Exam in the desired skill category.
• Must possess JLPT N4 or JFT-Basic with a score of 200 or above.

For TITP Graduates Applying in the Same Skill Category:

• OTIT or JITCO Certificate.
• Grade 3 Certificate (Senmonkyuu).
• JLPT N4 or JFT-Basic is not required.

For TITP Graduates Applying in a Different Skill Category:

• OTIT or JITCO Certificate.
• Must pass the Prometric Exam in the desired skill category.
• Must possess JLPT N4 or JFT-Basic.
