Have the reliability to maintain clean, safe, and well-presented outdoor areas? We’re hiring dedicated Hotel Yard Persons to support property upkeep, assist with general maintenance, and ensure outdoor spaces meet high hospitality standards for leading employers across Australia.

HOTEL YARD PERSON

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality services or property maintenance.
• Ability to perform general maintenance tasks including repairs, painting, and minor electrical/plumbing work.
  Knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping practices.
• English language proficiency: Must either be exempt from the English language test or have passed an IELTS or PTE Academic test.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
• Strong focus on maintaining safety and cleanliness in outdoor areas.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work independently or as part of a team.

Additional Skills and Requirements:

• Experience with basic building maintenance, minor repairs, and landscaping.
• Ability to handle equipment for waste disposal, gardening, and general maintenance.
• Physically fit and able to perform the demands of the job, including outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of hotel grounds, gardens, and outdoor areas to ensure they meet hospitality standards.
• Perform general repairs on fixtures such as windows, doors, fences, furniture, and fittings.
• Replace defective items, including light bulbs, tap washers, and minor electrical or plumbing components.
• Conduct interior and exterior painting as well as basic building maintenance tasks.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and air conditioning systems, including regular cleaning.
• Manage landscaping tasks such as moving plants, watering, and maintaining reticulation systems.
• Keep driveways and communal areas free from rubbish, debris, and hazards.
• Install and maintain new fixtures such as handrails, doors, and windows to ensure safety and functionality.
• Support waste management, recycling processes, and safe material disposal.
• Preference for candidates with experience in hospitality-related property upkeep, and those with basic electrical or plumbing knowledge.
