HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in HVAC installation and service.
  • Vocational Diploma, Short Course Certificate, or equivalent qualification in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related fields.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple service tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and operational efficiency techniques.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and adhere to local codes.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to service locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, boilers, and refrigeration units.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance to ensure efficient system operation.
  • Keep detailed service records and communicate with customers regarding repairs and cost estimates.
  • Follow local codes, blueprints, and safety procedures, including proper handling of refrigerants.
  • Frequently travel to customer sites to provide on-site service and resolve technical issues.
