Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a heavy diesel mechanic or in servicing commercial vehicles.
  • Main dealership experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of brands such as Isuzu, Fuso, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, and Hino.
  • Completed Automotive, Mechanical, or Technical training/certification.
  • Diagnostics training and manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy diesel vehicles, including trucks and commercial fleet vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Perform routine service checks, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs.
  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate service records and report any recurring vehicle issues.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and service personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
