Mechanic / Fitter Machinist

Qualifications:

• Must Be knowledgeable in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines such as 4M40, 4D35, 4P10
• Must be able to service and repair canter trucks, generators, service and repairs compressors and punch press
• Knowledgeable to operate a lathe
• To repair and retool punching dyes
• Be knowledgeable about tempering metal

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines such as 4M40, 4D35, 4P10, and similar models.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on Canter Trucks, generators, compressors, and punch press machines
• Operate lathe machines and other workshop equipment to fabricate, modify, and repair mechanical parts
• Repair, retool, and maintain punching dies to ensure accurate and efficient production
• Perform metal tempering and heat treatment processes as required
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify faults and prevent breakdowns
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of tolls and machinery
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance work performed
