CAR ELECTRICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred
  • TESDA certification in Automotive Electrical Systems, Auto Mechanics or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years f hands-on experience as an Auto Electrician in a workshop or fleet maintenance setting.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing, repairing, and installing electrical and electronic systems in vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, scanners, and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to repair and install alternators, starters, batteries, lighting system, air conditioning units and other electronic components.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and components in vehicles.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective wiring, switches, relays, fuses, and other electrical components.
  • Work on electrical systems in a range of vehicles including cars, trucks, buses, and agricultural machinery.
  • Install aftermarket electronic systems such as GPS, audio systems, security alarms, and dash cams.
  • Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Perform battery checks, alternator testing, and electronic control module (ECM) programming.
  • Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians to ensure full functionality of vehicle systems
  • Maintain records of repairs and parts used.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards in the workplace.
