Chemical Department In-Charge

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree of Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) / Technical certificate course
• 2-3 years experience

Responsibilities:

• Provides timely communication and updates to management all Chemical related matters i.e Chemical inventory, Chemical consumption, usage/life of the Chemicals, and particularly about chemical related matters which are outside the routine nature of business.
• Responsible for all front end area operation on line and assisting the production team for smooth functioning of front end with reference to Chemical, WWT & environmental activities.
• Maintain & ensures washer parameters are within specifications to produce good quality cans and avoid any quality irregularities.
• Ensures 100% availability of Washer and Wastewater chemicals to avoid downtime and increase line efficiency.
• Analysis of shift reports & sample plans results. Maintain good record and abide by reporting system so that you can extract some conclusion of specific day or shift demands.
• Daily awareness session and discussion with everyone working in brigade.
• Conduct inventory audit of Washer, Wastewater and Chemical lab
• Using foresight & planning for the chemicals, raw materials by maintaining minimum inventory level, in plant in coordination with procurement team.
• Generate the following reports MIS reports & assist production manager time to time for cost reduction program on same.
• Chemical and Oil Consumption Varnish Consumption, Monthly Wastewater Generation and analyses results
• Organization of staff and their duties – i.e. Aware of what tasks staff are performing and where they are at any given time. Control absenteeism and overtime
• Coordinate with state pollution control board regarding waste disposal
• Coordinate with transporters regarding waste disposal.
• Wastewater sample monitoring and also testing from outsource.
• To create a harmonious and effective work relationship between Production and Technical departments.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
