SAW WELDING LINE OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• Male Applicants are preferred
• Minimum of 5 years work experience
• Strong understanding of welding principles, especially SAW processes.
• Knowledge of programming and operating CNC welding lines.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues with CNC welding machines.
• Knowledge of SigmaNest software preferred.
• Familiarity with steel fabrication for heavy, medium, and light structures, including façades, walkways, staircases, bridges, platforms, and various steel tanks.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage CNC welding lines, including Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) systems.
• Read technical drawings and set up CNC welding programs in accordance with blueprints.
• Use computer software to model weld paths and program CNC machines accordingly.
• Load raw materials and prepare CNC welding machines for operation.
• Read, understand, and work from fabrication and shop drawings.
• Adjust machine parameters such as voltage, wire feed, and travel speed to optimize welding quality and efficiency.
• Choose and load appropriate fluxes, wire types, and welding procedures for specific projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with CNC welding lines during production.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC welding equipment
• Collaborate with the production supervisor to plan schedules and meet project targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Maintain clear communication about any existing, new, or modified safety hazards.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required by the Production Supervisor
