601 Engineering Ltd. is seeking experienced and technically skilled Civil Engineers for deployment to Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will oversee, manage, coordinate, and supervise structural and civil works within construction facilities, particularly oil and gas infrastructure.

CIVIL ENGINEER

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  Must be 30 – 50 years old only.
  A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
  Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering(Civil) or similar fields.
  Proven experience in structural and civil construction works, with a distinct advantage for those who have worked in the Oil and Gas construction industry.
  Strong knowledge of concrete works, structural steel, foundations, earthworks, and site drainage systems.
  Extensive experience in reviewing, verifying, and coordinating structural designs, technical documentation, and site blueprints.
  Proficient in supervising site construction teams, managing workforce allocation, and driving site production schedules.
  Ability to identify construction issues, interpret engineering diagrams, and execute structural problem-solving safely and efficiently.
  Good leadership, analytical troubleshooting, and communication skills to handle multi-ethnic field crews.

Responsibilities:

• Install, implement, manage, and troubleshoot civil and structural layouts across all construction and engineering phases.
• Perform technical reviews of engineering drawings, material specifications, and structural calculations to ensure project compliance.
• Diagnose and resolve structural layout issues, design clashes, and site operational bottlenecks safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and monitor ongoing civil works, concrete pouring, and structural installations to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality operation.
• Read, interpret, and implement structural schematics, engineering plans, technical specifications, and international building codes accurately.
• Support construction management in tracking project milestones, supervising field operations, and leading construction teams.
• Conduct testing, site surveys, and quality validation checks of completed structural components and concrete works.
• Ensure compliance with construction safety regulations, operational procedures, QA/QC standards, and company policies.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, procurement teams, and health and safety officer (HSE) groups regarding schedules.
• Prepare site progress reports, inspection records, material quantity take-offs, and technical documentation accurately.
