ANDT TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred
• Minimum of 2 years work experience

Responsibilities:

• Shall be able to set up and calibrate NDT equipment, to conduct tests, to interpret, evaluate, and document results in accordance with procedures approved by an NDT Level III.
• Should be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method he is certified
• Should organize and report NDT test results. Should have knowledge of international codes
• Computer skills, and English is must.
• An ANDT (Advanced Non-Destructive Testing) technician, also known as an NDT technician or inspector, performs tests to identify flaws in materials or structures without causing damage.
• They work in various industries like construction, aerospace, and power generation, ensuring the reliability and safety of infrastructure.
• Testing and Inspection: ANDT technicians utilize specialized equipment and techniques to examine materials and structures for defects or inconsistencies.
• Flaw Detection: They identify flaws, such as cracks, corrosion, or voids, that could compromise the integrity of the tested object.
• Industry Applications: ANDT technicians work in diverse industries, including construction, aerospace, automotive, and pipeline industries.
• Advanced Techniques: They employ advanced NDT methods, often utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, to provide detailed asset integrity data.
• Reporting: They document their findings, prepare detailed reports, and may even develop plans for repairs.
• Safety: ANDT technicians ensure safety protocols are followed during testing, contributing to a safe working environment.
• Skills: Essential skills include attention to detail, technical proficiency, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and a strong understanding of safety protocols.
• Certification: Certification through organizations like the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) can enhance career prospects.
