Electrical Technician

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an electrical technician in a building or facilities environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
• Good physical condition and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, lighting, and fixtures in buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform diagnostics on systems and controls
• Test electrical systems using tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and circuit testers
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other trades during construction or renovation projects
• Ensure all work complies with national and local electrical codes and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely repairs
• Recommend energy-efficient solutions and upgrades where applicable
