Ship Hull Fitter

Qualifications:

• Must have experienced in ship repair industry
• Knowledge of the main properties of materials used in the process of work and their marking.
• Ability to use work equipment and tools, to read technical drawings and to process components according to technical drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Layout and fabricate metal structural parts such as plates, bulkheads, and frames within the hull of a vessel for riveting or welding
• Fabricate the parts required to assemble hull assemblies and sections.
• Assemble stairways, bulwarks, flat section and erect, check, compare them.
• Install manually, electrically couple and check bollards, hatch and hatchway coamings and covers, potholes, doors, pillars, foundations, light bulkheads.
• Work with guillotines, metal cutting machines, bending rollers and other devices tools.
• Assemble and install ship’s ventilation ducts, mark assemble, inspect and align flat structures, foundations, volumetric tanks
• Mark parts, assemblies and sections according to templates, sketches and blueprints
• Cut parts and assemblies with gas and electrically couple them by hand in different position.
