Procurement Officer / Engineer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or interior fit-out industry.
- Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and payments.
- Understanding of interior fit-out materials, finishes, and industry-specific procurement practices.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and logistics management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with a proactive and results-oriented approach
Responsibilities:
- Start by receiving the Material Requisition Form (MRF) that has been approved by the relevant authorities.
- This document outlines the materials or products required for a project.
- Enter the details of the approved MRF into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, generating a Purchase Requisition (PR) within the system for further processing.
- Verify the availability of the requested materials in the central stores to determine if they can be fulfilled from existing stock or if they need to be procured from external suppliers.
- Request quotations from various suppliers for the materials listed in the MRF/PR. This involves reaching out to potential vendors and obtaining their price and delivery terms for the required items.
- Prepare a comparative analysis of the quotations received from different suppliers. Present this comparison to the management for approval, highlighting the best options in terms of cost, quality, and delivery time.
- Once the management approves the selected supplier, create a Purchase Order (PO) in the ERP system. This official document confirms the order details and terms agreed upon with the supplier.
- Monitor the approval process of the PO within the organization. Ensure that all necessary approvals are obtained promptly to avoid any delays in procurement.
